Best Medallions in The Rogue Prince of Persia

Power up with these overpowered Medallions.

Medallions are the biggest factor when it comes to build diversity in The Rogue Prince of Persia. There are several Medallions options available and each combination of them will change how you play in your current run. Some Medallions are better than others while some are just based on preferences. Here’s a list of the best Medallions you should look out for in the Rogue Prince of Persia. These Medallions are arguably S-Tier level, and they are all good on their own.

Slicing Kick

  • When kicking an enemy:
  • Level 0 – Hurl daggers at nearby enemies for 40 damage per dagger when kicking an enemy

The Slicing Kick adds a ton of damage, but it is all dependent on how frequently you use your kicks. Kick is extremely useful since you can kick an enemy toward another enemy or obstacle to stun them. You can also kick enemies off a ledge and maybe kill them instantly. You can even kick an enemy to a shielded enemy and break the shields instantly.

If you open every fight with a kick, this Medallion will work wonders, and you don’t even need to upgrade it.

Vampiric Demise

  • When an enemy is killed:
  • Level 0 – Restore 30 energy points.
  • Level 2 – Restore 30 energy points and 10 health points.
  • Level 3 – Restore 30 energy points and 15 health points.

Vampiric Demise has some conditions to make it extremely powerful. Since you need to kill an enemy before you can get the energy points, it isn’t as good as the others.

However, if you upgrade it to level 2 or 3, you will receive health points, and restoring your health in any form is crucial in every single run.

The energy point recovery is also useful if you want to use Berude’s Gauntlet, but you have to defeat Berude first to unlock it. Once you have used this tool, you’ll know how energy-hungry it is, which will make the Vampiric Demise more effective.

Restorative Dream Fragment

  • When you find a new Well of Dreams:
  • Level 0 – Restore 60 health points.
  • Level 1 – Restore 10 additional health points. (70 total)
  • Level 2 – Restore 10 additional health points. (80 total)

As mentioned before, health is hard to come by, and when you have a Medallion that gives you several health points, it is already worth it. The Restorative Dream Fragment does give more than most Medallions because there are multiple Well of Dreams in each stage. You can roughly find six or more Well of Dreams for each stage, which at level 0 would add up to 360+ health points already.

Immortal

  • Upon dying, you will use and destroy the Medallion automatically and gain half of your health.

Immortal is by far the best Medallion because it basically gives you another chance to survive. Everybody makes mistakes, and the Immortal Medallion gives you that extra safety to get a little further or explore a little more.

Flaming Dive

  • When you hit the ground with a diving attack:
  • Level 2 – Set fire to the landing area.

Setting fire to the ground is probably the safest way to deal with a bunch of enemies simultaneously. If you open up with a diving attack, it is much easier to deal with the enemies since you can kite them through the fire without actually confronting them.

You don’t need to be at a higher level to do a diving attack. You can jump and parkour straight up a wall and smash the ground with a diving attack. The damage is the same regardless of your verticality.

Toxic Projectile

  • When hitting an enemy from a distance:
  • Level 2 – Create a cloud of poison upon hitting an enemy from a distance.

The Toxic Projectile is one of the most overlooked Medallions, but it is also one of the strongest, especially when paired with the composite bow, one of the strongest tools. You need to hit an enemy from a distance to activate the poison cloud, but how strong is it?

Well, if you try to fight Berude, you know she’ll be stationary in most of the times you deal damage. Opening with a Composite Bow shot to activate the poison cloud and do your deadly combo will burn down her health points extremely fast. You can even beat Berude in under a minute because of this.

Apart from bosses, there are some annoying enemies that don’t really move that much, like the mage from the Tower of Oblivion. If you hit them with a Composite Bow, they’ll live through it, but if you add the poison cloud, it could kill them.

Most of the Medallions in The Rogue Prince of Persia are useful, and you only need to add a bit more synergy among them to make it work even better. Again, Medallions spawn quite randomly, so your runs really depend on what the game gives you. If you happen to see any of these Medallions on the list, make sure to give it a go!
