How to Get and Use the Ring of Mercy in Palworld

Everyone deserves some mercy

The first big update for Palworld brought a lot of interesting changes such as bugfixes, new Raid battles, and many items to make your lifelong experience better. One of these items is the Ring of Mercy, the perfect item to avoid accidentally knocking out that hard-to-catch Pal. Here’s how to get and use the Ring of Mercy in Palworld.

How to Craft the Ring of Mercy in Palworld

The Ring of Mercy can be unlocked by reaching Level 19 and buying it from the Ancient Technology Skill Tree. It costs two Ancient Technology points, obtained by completing big feats such as defeating bosses or completing dungeons, so you should have plenty of them if you’ve been roaming the world and overcoming its big challenges.

After you unlock its recipe, you can craft it in a High-Quality Workbench as long as you have the following:

  • x30 Ingot
  • x20 Paldium Fragment
  • x5 Ancient Civilization Parts

By the time you reach 19, you should already have a few of them in your inventory, with Ingot being probably the hardest to get if you haven’t made a dedicated Ingot-farming base yet. Ancient Civilization Parts can also be tricky at early-game, but you’ll start to accumulate tons of these in no time.

The Ring of Mercy prevents the wearer from knocking out any Pal they hit, leaving them with 1 HP instead. As this is a human accessory, your Pal can still knock it out with its attacks, so be careful! If your soon-to-be-captured Pal is already low enough, retire your attacking Pal and finish lowering its HP by yourself to maximize your catching rate. Don’t risk losing a rare spawn for nothing.

As there are other accessories with better stats than the Ring of Mercy, you don’t need to wear it at all times, but keep it in your inventory just in case. Catching as many Pals as possible is the easiest way to level up quickly, so you’ll probably be doing it a lot when you’re not busy building, breeding or just exploring the islands.
