In Pax Dei’s early game, Flint Rocks might be the hardest early resource to find. They spawn in a very specific place, and your progress will be halted if you can’t find them. Here’s a short guide on where to get Flint in Pax Dei, regardless of your starting plot location or starting area.
Where to Get Flint in Pax Dei
When you look at the recipes for some of the basic tools, you’ll see Flint. However, the resource is called Flint Rocks when you see them, but they are the same thing. They are these shiny-looking rocks on the floor, but what makes them different from Gneiss is that they have some dark shades on them.
These Flint Rocks spawn near the river like most survival crafting games, and it is surprising that they don’t spawn randomly anywhere on the map. Depending on which starting area you choose, the river can either be far or near you. Go to a Flint Rock spawn and just pick it up with any tools needed.
Some players even try to build their plots near the center so they are close to the river. Since the area is rich with other resources, it does have some advantages. You can easily get food in the form of different kinds of mushrooms and berries, and Flax frequently spawns in the area, too.
What is Flint Used For?
Most of the basic tools in the early game require Flint for crafting. You need Flint to craft the Basic Leatherworking Tools and the Basic Fletching Tools. Both of them unlock useful items like Bows, Leather Armor, and Animal Hides.
If you want some sort of ranger class, farming Flint should be the highest priority, as well as farming Bone Fragments from animals, to get these tools as soon as possible.
