Pax Dei offers several crafting paths by unlocking the basic tools for each of them. You’ll get through the initial basic tools by finding Flint and Bone Fragments, but the next tier of tools requires resources that are much harder to find. Rough Glass is one of them and here’s how you can find and craft them in Pax Dei.
How to Craft Rough Glass in Pax Dei
To craft Rough Glass, you need to set up a Furnace. You can unlock the Furnace by crafting the Basic Blacksmithing Tools. You can craft the Furnace afterward by gathering and using Gneiss, Short Wood Stock, and Clay. Once you have the Furnace up, the Rough Glass recipe will automatically be unlocked.
You can queue the craft for the Rough Glass with 50 Sand and 20 Charcoal. Each craft gives you 10 Rough Glass, and it’ll take 40 minutes to finish the craft. You can craft Charcoal from the Charcoal Kiln using Sapwood. To farm Sand, you can look for Gneiss Deposits and use a pickaxe to mine them.
Once you have enough Rough Glass, you shouldn’t queue as much because you will need the Furnace to craft Iron Ingots. If you are playing with one or more friends, you might want to build multiple Furnaces to accommodate everyone’s needs. Since Iron Ingots take a long time to craft and you need hundreds of them for each player, you’ll really need to bump up the production.
What is Rough Glass Used For?
Usage of the Rough Glass is mostly seen in crafts from the Basic Blacksmithing Workbench. You can craft the following:
- Basic Distilling Tools
- Basic Apothecary Instruments
- Basic Jewelcrafting Tools
These tools give you access to a ton of important items such as jewels, potions, and other useful items, especially when it comes to combat. You don’t need that many Rough Glass to craft these, as you only need less than 20 to craft all these tools.
