While Pax Dei bills itself as an MMORPG, it features significantly more survival-crafting elements than your typical massively multiplayer online role-playing game today. It’s like a crossover between Valheim and New World, and that’s working in its favor. But to survive in this world, you require food and resources, and you must learn how to get sinew in Pax Dei!
Where to Get Sinew in Pax Dei
To get sinew in Pax Dei, you must hunt and kill rabbits. They’re the smallest game currently available in the world, and as such, it’s rather tough to catch one. If you can sneak up on a small group of rabbits, even the pointy stick they call an early-game spear will get the job done quickly. A few fast jabs will deal with the whole group.
Unfortunately, they’re tiny. Being so small, the rabbit’s hitbox proves tough to nail. Furthermore, considering their speed, it’s even harder to land your hits. A bow would certainly help, but you must hunt rabbits to obtain a bow. It’s a vicious circle!
Why You Need Sinew
As mentioned, the primary reason why you want to hunt rabbits and obtain sinew in Pax Dei is to craft a bow. The game features multiple types of bows, with the Basic Bow being your first unlock in this category, but you must acquire sinew to craft all of them:
- Basic Bow
- Primitive Longbow
- Basic Longbow
- Sturdy Longbow
- Curved Longbow
- Hung Bow
- War Bow
Of course, the ultimate goal is to obtain a War Bow, which you may use to hunt black bears and, perhaps, other players in PvP down the line. I imagine PvP will pop off once people start learning the game’s mechanics.
Alongside people, a bow will allow you to more easily hunt the various animals in Pax Dei, including boar, deer, rabbits, foxes, and the fearsome black bear that roams the woods looking for scraps of meat like you to consume.
