You might have seen the gifs or videos of the Warrior Vocation slamming Griffons in the face and one-shotting them in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s a little disappointing to not have access to the Warrior Vocation from the start, but it won’t be long before you’re swinging a too-big sword.
Visit the Vocation Guild in Vernworth
First things first you’ll need to progress the story until you find yourself in the capital of Vernworth. This shouldn’t take more than two or three hours, depending on how much you like to take your time (and trust me, you should take your time). Once there, visit the Vocation Guild, shown below:
The entrance is just below the entrance to the Inn, so it’s a little hard to spot, but the place is the size of a shoebox so finding the vendor is a cinch. Once inside, speak to the Vocation Guild representative and he’ll bemoan a stolen shipment of weapons by some Goblins. The location of these missing weapons is the Trevo Mine.
Recover the Missing Weapons from Trevo Mine
Trevo Mine is just northwest of Vernworth, along a path dotted by Goblins, Wolves, and the occasional Cyclops. Once you find the mine entrance, you must find two chests containing an Archstaff and a Greatsword. The location of these chests in the mine is illustrated below:
The mine itself isn’t too daunting – the scariest thing inside is a Hobgoblin (one of the two you’ll face is fast asleep). Just remember: Goblins ill like fire.
With the weapons in tow, just return to the Vocation Guild in Vernworth and enjoy your newly unlocked Vocations! Newly selected Vocations give you a starting set of gear in Dragon’s Dogma 2, so you don’t even need to worry about spending the scratch to get things started.
