The following details all the information about the upcoming Pokemon GO event titled An Excellent Opportunity. The event will allow trainers to achieve excellent throws more easily, as well as multiple other bonuses. With the grind to 50 being a bit of a slog, I for one always welcome anything that provides me with additional XP.
Event Date and Time
The Pokemon GO An Excellent Opportunity event will begin on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM local time.
Event Bonuses
The Pokemon GO An Excellent Opportunity consists of one solitary bonus, but it’s a bonus worth taking advantage of all the same.
- All successful throws in Pokemon GO that register as Nice or Great will be listed as Excellent throws during the event period.
Field Research Task Encounters
The following Pokemon will be a reward for completing event-specific Field Research tasks during the event period.
Event Timed Research
During the An Excellent Opportunity event period, there will be event-specific Timed Research that will have Pokemon trainers focus on catching Pokemon. Completing the Timed Research will result in the following rewards:

- Ultra Balls
- Three Razz Berries
While the An Excellent Opportunity event is rather short compared to other April events, it allows trainers an opportunity to successfully throw more excellent throws. Even though, at the time of writing, there isn’t a medal that tracks how many excellent throws one has done, there might be one day, and this could be a worthwhile headstart. Even if not, the additional XP is always nice.
